Back to School Dance this Friday

Hey, Fremont! It’s time to get your groove on at the Back to School Dance this Friday, August 18th from 7-10pm in the amphitheater. Tickets are $5 for students with an ASB card, $7 without an ASB card.  All tickets will be sold at the door, so be sure to bring your Fremont ID.

Annual Watermelon Run

The 35th Annual Watermelon Run will take place on Thursday August 31st at 3:15 pm.  Everyone from the community is welcome to participate, no preregistration is required.  After completing the course participants are welcome to eat as much watermelon as they would like.  Hope to see you there!

Parent Infinite Campus Access - 9th Grade Families

It is very important for all parents or guardians to have access to Infinite Campus. Through Infinite Campus you will to be able to view students final grades, attendance, lunch account balance, update your contact information and so much more. With School Loop you will be able to e-mail teachers, and check  assignments.  If you did not receive an e-mail via Chalk Schools for your activation code, Please contact Lorena Moreno at 408-522-2412 or lorena_moreno@fuhsd.org

FHS Engineering Teacher recognized

Bob Capriles has been featured in an EdSource article for his dedication to teaching Engineering courses here at Fremont High School.   Mr. Capriles also oversees the Engineering Club and has won the Texas Instrument STEM Teaching Award.  Congratulations to Mr. Capriles and we are so honored to have such an exceptional teacher here at Fremont High School, Go Firebirds!

2018 National Merit Scholarship Program

The following 32 students qualified for the 2018 National Merit Scholarship Program. This is the largest in Fremont’s history and we are extremely proud of their outstanding academic achievement.  The list includes:

Youth Task Force

Interested in making a difference in your community? The Santa Clara County Youth Task Force (YTF) is now recruiting new members!

YTF is an appointed body of 16 high school students who serve as an advisory body to the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors. YTF members are involved with making policy recommendations concerning youth in the County and work to find solutions that will improve the lives of young people in our community. Whether you are interested in social welfare, gender equality, LGBTQ rights, immigrant rights, or the environment, the commission is a place for you to work on social policy issues you are passionate about. 

Members meet every other Tuesday of the month from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the County Building (70 W. Hedding Street, San Jose). Whether you’re a student leader, a community activist, or simply interested in becoming a member, please contact Mario B. Lopez at mario.lopez@bos.sccgov.org or 408-299-5030 or apply at: 




The Back to School Rally will take place on Friday, August 25th in the Large Gym.  Please note that 4th Period begins at 8:40 am.  


The Student for Success (SFS), the peer tutoring support help center,  will reopen Monday, August 21st.  The SFS is open during M, T, and Th 7th block in room 76 and after school M-Th in the Library until 5:00pm.  Come on in and get some help on homework, or just get a jump start on the year.
