School Closed Monday 1/15


School will be closed Monday, January 15th in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.  School will resume Tuesday, January 16th.  

Junior Olympic Fencing


Out of 20 competitors, two Fremont High School students placed in the top three in the Regional Fencing Qualifiers competition.  Senior Alexander Javorski  placed first and Freshman Isaac Ive placed third. With those wins both Alex and Isaac qualify to represent Central California in the Junior Olympics and at Nationals in the Junior Men's Epee Division. FHS Teacher Ms. Liu Recognized

Congratulations to FHS Chinese teacher Ms. Liu for receiving the 2017 Yao Memorial Award for Outstanding New Teacher from CLASS (Chinese Language Association of Secondary-Elementary Schools).  This award recognizes an individual of the Chinese teaching profession who has been teaching in K-12 public schools for less than 5 years. From the Awards Committee, “In a 15-minute instructional video submitted by Ms. Liu, she demonstrated excellence in teaching Chinese language and culture to her students.  She engaged her students and successfully utilized a variety of instructional strategies to help all learners be successful.” Please congratulate Ms. Liu next time you see her!

Mattress Fundraiser 1/20

The 1st Annual Fremont High School Mattress Fundraiser will take place on Saturday January 20th in the Fremont High School Cafeteria from 10-5pm.  All sizes of beds will be available as well as pillows.  Make sure to bring in the flyer below to receive a free set of sheets with any mattress purchase.  All purchases made that day will benefit the Fremont High School Band program. SAT Prep Class

SAT Prep Class: Time to Sign-up!

Juniors and Sophomores, 

Do you plan to take the SAT this Spring? Students who learn test-taking techniques & strategies can significantly raise their confidence and their SAT scores.  The Fremont High PTSA is proud to offer an on-campus SAT Prep Class, “How to MASTER the SAT” taught by Future Path Prep.  Future Path Prep will give you the critical skills you need for success on the new SAT!

Class dates are Mon/Weds Feb 5, Feb 12, Feb 14, Feb 26, Feb 28 and Mar 5 after school from 3:30-5:30 pm, (Feb 26 and Feb 28 go until 6 pm) plus an in-class practice SAT test on Saturday, Feb 17.  The $130 class fee includes 13 hours of instruction and complimentary copies of The 2018 Official SAT Study Guide by the College Board ($25 value) and SAT Master by Future Path Prep.  A reduced class fee of $25 is available for eligible students. 

Register by Monday, January 15 in the ASB Office.  Class size is limited.  Priority will be given to juniors.  All sign-ups received by January 15 will be enrolled by lottery.

IDC Exchange

Hey Firebirds! The annual Fremont IDC Exchange is coming up. This is the day where students from all schools will be attending FHS for one day! It will be held on 1/26/2018 during our WINTER RALLY! If you wish to be a host, fill out a form on tinyurl.com/fhsidchost18. This form will be due before 4th block on 1/19/2018. Fremont Art Exhibit

Fremont Art students will exhibit their beautiful artwork at the District Office starting January 6th until February 1st.

The displayed artwork was selected from the best work of current students enrolled in the FHS Art Program.

During the exhibit all are free to visit the District Office and view our student’s creations.

The District Office is located at 589 W Fremont Ave Sunnyvale, Ca 94087.



The Eating Disorders Resource Center in Los Gatos is accepting entries for their "Everybody's Beautiful" writing contest. The contest is held every year to spread awareness about body image and the beauty standards created by social media culture. Students in grades 6-12 are asked to create a poem or write an essay (in English or Spanish) answering one of the following questions: What do you love about yourself?, Why should others love and  accept themselves?, or How does the media affect body image?. You have the chance of winning up to $300 in cash, winners will also have their work published on their website.
