GENERAL INFORMATION:
For Thanksgiving week the schedule is as follows:
- Monday, November 23rd - regular Monday schedule
- Tuesday, November 24th - regular A schedule
- Wednesday, November 25th - early release schedule
- Thursday, November 26th - school holiday, no classes
- Friday, November 27th - school holiday, no classes
Hi club advisors, just a friendly reminder about our meeting here in the student center today, Monday the 23rd during lunch! I would like to give you your advisor handbook and go over a few details as well. See you there! (C. Stockhaus)
The Page Turner Club meeting is today, November 23rd at lunch, in room 42. Please bring a science fiction book to the meeting. See Mrs. Buckarma in the library if you have any questions.
Attention students: this is an Important announcement!! The girls locker room will be sprayed on Wednesday, November 25th @ 6 PM. All girls using the locker room must take all clothes home over the Thanksgiving break. (P. Lawson)

Congratulations to varsity football for winning a second consecutive league championship with an exciting win over Monta Vista last Friday night. Congratulations to both Chris Swanson and Heather Rohrer for their outstanding efforts in this past weekend’s CCS cross country championships.
Attention athletes, marching band, featherettes, cheer and families: QuickCycle Photo has terrific action pictures of your fall events. If you miss seeing us at the game, see your pictures in the sample book (your team parent, coach or Mr. Kelly has it). Photos make great gifts. Attention all students and staff who ride their bicycles to school: please do not lock your bikes to any school gates. There are bike racks near the auto-tech classroom that you can use. (E. Wong)
Do you have a special talent you'd like to share? Would you be interested in being in the Fremont Talent show? If so, come to an informational meeting on Thursday, November 19th at lunch in the ASB office. (C. Tuana)
Attention all students: The end of the first semester is coming up. Do you need some extra help with a certain subject? Stop by Students for Success, our after school tutoring and homework help program! Peer tutors and teachers are available to give you one on one support Mondays through Thursdays from 6th-7th block to 5:00PM. You can be entered into a monthly raffle every time you come to SFS, and you can participate in the SFS grade improvement challenge and win prizes. Come to SFS and learn more! (K. Van Putten)
Friendly reminder from the health office: If your student has the flu or flu-like symptoms, please keep them home. Students must be fever free for at least 24 hours without taking any fever reducing medication before they can return to school. This means if a student takes Tylenol or Advil or another fever reducing medication and their fever goes down, they may not come back. Students need to be fever free without any medication for at least 24 hours before they may return to school. (S. Buckarma)

Career Center
De Anza College is hosting their annual Leadership Conference, Youth Voices United for Change on Friday, December 4th, 2009. There will be workshops around social issues like gay rights, immigration rights, women’s rights, healthy relationships, and female empowerment. This is a great event with very inspiring speakers. If you are interested in learning more about it, see Ms. Madruga in the career center. (C. Madruga)
Do you want to learn more about different colleges and get a better idea of where you might want to apply? Then check out the guidance website for a calendar of colleges that will be visiting Fremont High and would love to talk to you! Other important events and guidance activities are also available there. (C. Madruga)
The guidance department wants to know what you do/have done outside of school throughout your four years of high school. Any community service, organization involvement, or volunteer work is necessary for us to know about in order to nominate you for awards and scholarships. Pick up a form in the career center today. Seniors:
