About Mrs. Irwin
Mrs. Irwin is excited to be teaching at Fremont High School this year and excited to be working with the AVID Class of 2020! She received her Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and minor in dance from San Jose State University in 2009. She then entered the intern credential program at San Jose State and received her Single Subject Physical Education Teaching Credential in 2011. Before teaching at Fremont, Mrs. Irwin spent 4 years teaching physical education in Gilroy, CA.
While attending San Jose State, Mrs. Irwin danced with the Spartan Spectrum Jazz Dance Team. During her four seasons with the team she traveled to San Diego, Nevada and New Mexico where she performed in the 2006 Inaugural New Mexico Bowl for college football. Mrs. Irwin was the coach and choreographer for the Spartan Spectrum Jazz Dance Team for the 2012 and 2013 football seasons. During her time coaching she traveled with the team to Washington, DC for the 2012 Military Bowl.
Mrs. Irwin is in her third year coaching the Fremont High School Featherettes Dance Team. She enjoys getting to work closely with all of the dancers and is excited to have a team of 17 for next year! She is looking forward to traveling to Orlando, FL for the Contest of Champions Dance Nationals in 2017. Mrs. Irwin is very excited to continue her work with the Featherettes this year.
In November 2013, Mrs. Irwin and her husband welcomed their first child. She is pictured with Mrs. Irwin and her husband to the left. Chloe is a happy, silly and adventurous little girl that keeps Mrs. Irwin and her husband extremely busy running after her. She shares her mom's love of dance and her dad's love of cars.
