There will not be school next week for the Winter Break. School will resume Monday, February 26th.

 

Firebirds – this week is a special Valentine's Week Spirit Week! Today is Friday is Meme Day.

 

If you are interested in taking APUSH next school year, there will be informational meetings at lunch today in the Shannon Theater. Stop by to learn more.

 

Interested in having more of a voice in what happens at FHS? Want to help your class plan homecoming and win future spirit point competitions! Then running for ASB Executive Cabinet or Class Office may be for you! All students interested in running for ASB or Class Cabinet must attend an informational meeting on Tuesday, 2/27 at lunch in room B-25. Applications will be available at the conclusion of the meeting.

 

Need volunteer hours? Stop by the College & Career Center to sign-up for upcoming opportunities. Space is limited!

 

Are you interested in trade careers, like becoming an electrician or a carpenter? Want to learn more about local apprenticeships and training programs to pursue after graduation? Come to an informational meeting today in Room 84 to learn more!

 

Attention students: The cost for an AP exam is $105.00 per test or $115.00 per language test. If you need a reduced fee of $5.00 per test, please see Mrs. Moyoli at the student center for qualification paperwork.

 

Need help getting a prom dress? The Princess Project offers free prom dresses for students who need help getting them. If you are interested in getting a dress, see Mrs. Rocha in the main office as soon as possible. There are a limited number of spots for the March dates and they will fill up fast.

 

The chance to be a Mustang for a day is back! Apply for the Homestead IDC exchange on Friday, March 16 using the link on the Fremont home page or on the FHS facebook page. All forms are due on Wednesday, March 7. Contact Niyati S., Sabrina L., or Neel B. with further questions. Good luck!

Hey Fremont - Come support the girls soccer team tonight as we say farewell to seniors Samantha B., Dayana DG G., Sophia N., Erica F., Erin K., and Jacqueline 'Jacks' C. who look to make school history by being the FIRST Firebirds squad to finish the league with an UNDEFEATED league record as they head in to the CCS Playoffs. Pregame ceremony w/food truck serving delicious tacos starts at 5:30.

If you are interested in taking AP Spanish, French, Chinese or Japanese next school year, there will be informational meetings at lunch today. AP Spanish is in Room 21. AP French is in Room 20. AP Chinese is in Room 2. AP Japanese is in Room 22. Also, if you are interested in taking AP U.S. Gov & Politics or AP Microeconomics next school year, there will be an informational meeting at lunch tomorrow in the Shannon Theater. Congratulations to the Wrestling team for winning the SCVAL league championship meet. The team overcame injuries in this season, to win the most important meet of the season.

 

Congratulations to girls soccer for winning leagues last Friday. They have a chance of going undefeated this Friday at the senior night! Way to go ladies!

 

Congratulations to the Fremont Winter Indoor Ensemble for taking first place in their division at both the Independence and Dublin shows this past Saturday. It was a great way to start the competitive season. They next compete on March 3 at Oak Grove High School.

 

Congratulations to the Winter Color Guard on another fine performance at the Independence Show this past Saturday. They next compete on March 3 at Oak grove High School.

 

Thank you Fremont Pep Band for playing at the Varsity Girls and Varsity Boys Senior Night this past Friday. They next perform on March 15 as part of a dinner fundraiser at Rubio’s and Pizza My heart. More information to be advertised soon. 

 

Congratulations to the Fremont String Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra for their high scores and great performances last Thursday at the Homestead Orchestra festival.

 

The Annual Chamber Music Concert is Tuesday Night, February 13 at 7:30pm featuring all of the musicians from our Chamber Orchestra and Wind Ensemble. The concert is FREE. Come and support our talented musicians performing in small groups.
