August 18, 2017 Announcements

On Monday there will be a solar eclipse that Californians will be able to see and it’s the first time since 1979 that we will be able to experience it. FHS is preparing for students and staff to witness it during 3rd block with special viewers. Even with the viewers there are safety considerations to take to protect your eyes:

  • Never look directly at the sun – even with the eclipse – without protective eye ware
  • Sunglasses are NOT safe for looking directly at the eclipse/sun
  • Even with certified protective glasses, don’t stare too long at the eclipse/sun
  • Don’t use your phone or camera to try to take pictures of the eclipse/sun without a special filter to protect the lens.
  • Don’t use a refractory device (mirror, water, etc.) to look at the eclipse/sun as this offers no protection for one’s eyes.

You can check out more details on the eclipse online. This should be cool!

Change mill on Wednesday morning

Students wanting to change classes may come to the Guidance office Wednesday morning starting at 7:35. We will be focusing on adding classes needed for graduation, students who are placed in the wrong level of a course, or students who have fewer than six classes. We will not work with students to create their “dream schedule” or changing classes to be with friends. If you have a course you wish to drop, we will see if this works with respect to your four-year plan. You will be asked at the front door what sort of change you are trying to make, so you may be turned away if we know we can’t make the change you are interested in.

August 14, 2017 Announcements

Good Morning, Fremont! Welcome back to school! These are your morning announcements!

Student parking will be enforced starting August 15th. Please park in your designated parking spot and be sure to have your student parking permit visible at all times. Failing to have a valid permit or no visible permit will result in a ticket.

Student parking spaces are no longer available but if you would like to be placed on the waitlist please see Mrs. Moyoli.

The blacktop will be closed during lunch until August 28th. When it opens, students must be playing a sport to enter. Thanks and see you there!

Students who are interested in changing their schedule should come to the Guidance Center on Wednesday morning, August 16th, at 7:35am. Guidance Counselors will be there to assist students who have been placed in the wrong level of a class, missing classes towards graduation, etc. We will not be spending time working with students to create their “dream schedule” or changing classes to be with their friends. Changes will be made only if space is available.

Want to add a 7th class?

Come to the Add Lottery on Wednesday August 23rd at 3:15pm in the cafeteria. A list of classes with space available will be posted.
