FHS Marching Band

Dueling Drums!

The “sights and sounds” of the Winter Percussion are amazing!  Percussion instruments of all types make up the Winter Percussion and perform in a gym, the location of competitions.  Some members play instruments while executing elaborate floor routines.

Fremont has had a solid program since 2000.  FHS has been a prototype for programs and are at the top of their group.  This year the Winter Percussion has earned 3 1st places and a 4th in a Northern California-Nevada championship.

Joe Kelly, a French horn major in college, hires drum instructors to help train his percussionists.  Kelly says, “The musicians I employ need to be able to work with kids and be very talented.”
