The PTSA Executive Board meets monthly to handle ongoing operations. Anyone who is interested in getting more involved with PTSA,  please join us, share your thoughts and also meet and discuss school issues with the principal. Please send email to fremontptsa@gmail.com if you have further questions about PTSA or our meetings.

The membership fee is $10 per member. This covers dues to the district and entitles members to the main benefits.

If you can afford it, we greatly appreciate donations (suggested amount of $150 or more). These fund the association events and directly benefit the students.

2020 has brought new challenges to our organization and has prompted us to think creatively about how we generate funds and stay connected to our community and supporters.

We have signed up with Pintuna, a new platform that allows a portion of purchases you make to go directly to our organization. A percentage of your purchase will benefit us directly as a cash contribution, and will take just minutes of your time. In short, you’re helping us raise funds with purchases you’d be making anyway.

Fremont High PTSA is a tax-exempt nonprofit organization as described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and accepts corporate matching for the amount you donate. Some companies also match funds for number of hours you volunteer. What is Corporate Match?

Corporate match or match funding or match giving is a way to maximize the fundraising efforts of your donors. Many companies pledge to match donations to approved non profits and US Schools year-round. Some companies also pledge time and resources enabling their employees to support a cause during their working week. 

There are upper limit and criteria applied to these matches.

How to get started?

To check if your company supports corporate match or match funding, please check your company website or with your employer. Companies differ in the process of applying for a match.

How to request for a match?

Depending on your company policies, apply for the match funding once you’ve donated or volunteered hours at the approved organization. 

This has to be done within a certain duration of donation or volunteering date.

Some companies allow you to make donations through the approved website of their choice too, so you don’t have to separately upload the receipts of donation.

Most companies allow you to upload receipts of your donation if these organizations are already listed with them.

If the organized is not listed with your company, ask your employer about the process to nominate your organization to the approved list.

When will the Organization receive the match?

The organization will receive the match once your company processes and approves your match request.

• Enter the Fremont High School Group that you wish to support. PTSA Group ID# is listed below.
• Register any one or all of your existing grocery loyalty (Fresh and Easy), debit and credit cards for use in the program.
• Participating merchants (Lunardi's, Draeger's, Black Angus, Bombay to Goa, Roberto's Cantina, and Amazon.com, for example) will make contributions to your chosen group(s), based on purchases made by you, just by using the cards you registered. (Safeway no longer participates in this program.)

Explore the Arts and Express Yourself 

For 50 years, National PTA’s Reflections program has helped students explore their own thoughts, feelings and ideas, develop artistic literacy, increase confidence and find a love for learning that will help them become more successful in school and in life.

Each year, over 300,000 students in Pre-K through Grade 12 create original works of art in response a student-selected theme. The theme for the 2019-2020 program year is Look Within. Students submit their completed works of art in one or all of the available arts categories: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, Visual Arts.

Student winners from the local level have the opportunity to move up through their district, region, council and state PTA programs to the national level. National Reflections winners are celebrated annually at National PTA's Convention & Expo in June.

Every year PTSA congratulates the graduating class and their families by hosting a ceremony followed by a dessert reception at a church during the last week of school.

It is a beautiful ceremony for the seniors in their graduating gowns. FHS Choir fills up the space with soulful music. Selected teachers and students give speeches about their priceless experience in 4 years at FHS. The whole ceremony surely brings mixed emotions of graduating from the beloved school.

Each year Fremont High PTSA honors individuals from our Community and Staff who make outstanding contribution towards our children, school, and community by giving Honorary Service Awards.

Some people make very visible contributions while others work quietly behind the scenes. Outstanding contributions are made in the classrooms, office, library, PTSA, School Site Council, the list goes on. Current members, officers and teachers may be considered for these awards.

You are welcome to nominate multiple individuals for HSA, but make sure to fill one form for each nomination. Please fill out this form and send by Friday, March 29, 2019. For questions, contact fremontptsa@gmail.com.

Every year, FHS PTSA sets aside funds from its budget (typically ranging from $6000 to $10,000) to support school, staff and student activities. PTSA is guided by the principle that grants should benefit the largest number of students possible across a variety of grade levels and subject areas. With this in mind, mini-grants generally fund:

● Supplies, materials and equipment including books
● Support for school programs
● Instructional material including software
● Electrical or electronic equipment
