Meet our Students

Neel Bhargava, Fremont High School, Class of 2020

Neel will be attending Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, majoring in Mechanical Engineering

"The Fremont community is unique in a beautiful way as we embrace our cultures and backgrounds; I feel fortunate to have been a part of such a diverse group of individuals. From the annual post-Watermelon Run swim to winning a soccer tournament with my teammates to a senior sunrise with delicious pancakes but no sun, my time at Fremont has been a truly memorable experience where I have formed friendships every step of the way. The dedicated administration, teachers, coaches, and most importantly, the students, are what make Fremont an incredibly welcoming environment. Fremont instills in students a sense of understanding and teaches them to be grateful for what they have. Looking back on my journey and the steps I have taken to get here, I would tell my freshman self not to take anything for granted and to enjoy every moment while it lasts.”

Fremont High School student Vivien Su

Vivien Su, Class of 2020

Vivien will be attending the University of California, Los Angeles, majoring in Biology

“At Fremont, I was a leader, writer, editor, musician, activist, community member and friend. I was part of a warm and supportive culture that told me every day that I mattered, that I had things to offer. My four years were never short of support and guidance from the wonderful and kind Firebird staff and my peers. The generosity and sincerity I witnessed every day, from classmates thanking custodians to teachers staying after school to assist students, are memories that will remain with me forever. I greatly encourage the bright and spirited freshmen to take charge of their own narratives and to cherish every moment of high school: the climaxes, the dips, the triumphs and everything in between. They should breathe every so often, take risks courageously, and most importantly, stay true to themselves.”
